A BIT ABOUT ME!

Like most  artists, I have always enjoyed art.   Over the years I have tried different mediums, different styles. But one thing has never changed and that is my love of detail and the many beautiful colours on planet earth.

As a young mum I needed to put my art box away whilst bringing up my 3 children until it was the right time to start again. 
Jumping ahead a few years now.  I became an avid photographer, enjoying our beautiful planet and the life around us. I won a few competitions and became 10th runner up in an international competition with Olympus.

And then just like that, my life changed. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This has made a big impact in my life and limited me in every day life. So I took the opportunity to hone my art skills taking a lot of time, patience and practice. Now by using different techniques and great attention to detail I can create realistic, beautiful drawings. 

I have since exhibited at

Bucks At Weeks 2022 and 2023

Art at Wingrave 2021, 2022 and I will be this November 2023

Bucks County Museum Exhibition and I was winner of the ‘People’s Choice Award’

Escape to the country. I was recently filmed drawing whilst at  the BAW 2023 exhibition and this will be released in 2024 on the programme. 

To be a true artist I believe it requires a commitment of time and dedication, a commitment to detail, you never settle for less than giving 100% to your art. Add into the mix passion and determination and these are some of the things I aim for in my career as an artist.
